NYDocSubmit is an app for mobile devices and is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. With NYDocSubmit, applicants and recipients of Temporary Assistance (TA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), and Medicaid, can take a picture of their documents and submit them using a mobile device.

The child support program provides custodial parents with assistance in obtaining financial support and medical insurance coverage for their children by locating parents, establishing paternity, establishing/enforcing support orders, and collecting and distributing child support payments.

Personal Care Services is a part of the Adult Protective Services unit at Lewis County Department of Social Services. This service provides assistance in obtaining housekeeping, meal preparation and other activities to keep people 18 years and older in their homes.

Trainings, resources and initiatives for professionals who are working to alleviate poverty in Lewis County.  A multi-sector steering committee, originally appointed by the Lewis County Priorities Council, oversees this work.  Its mission statement is "Empowering individuals to build resources for success in a community where everyone can live well.

This 18 week group for people in poverty who are working to increase stability is an initiative of Bridges Out of Poverty Lewis County.  The group meets weekly to explore individual and community resources and to build skills and social capital.  Participant's time is reimbursed with a gift card.  Transportation can be provided and child care reimbursement is available.
