"Assistance may be available for Indigent Burial.  A simple prescreening can determine whether you are likely to qualify for Indigent Burial Assistance.  If determined that the decedent may be eligible for Indigent Burial Assistance you can complete an application at the Jefferson County Department of Social Services with some basic information regarding the deceased."
