"SNAP is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with the focus on nutrition. The program issues monthly benefits redeemable at authorized food retail stores with an EBT card. Eligibility and benefits levels are based on household size and income.

Helps reduce food insecurity and increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Participants are referred through healthcare providers or community organizations and attend six weekly nutrition workshops, offered in person or virtually. Each session includes practical lessons on nutrition, food safety, smart shopping, and label reading, often with a cooking demo. Participants receive $25 in produce vouchers per class, earning up to $150 total upon completing the program."

"A Registered Dietician is available to provide free nutrition information and counseling. This service is especially recommended for anyone who is on a special diet or with specific dietary problems. Counseling can be conducted over the phone, at a community dining site, or at an individual’s home."
