"Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program, or EISEP, provides in-home, non medical services to frail individuals age 60 and older who are facing challenges with the basic activities of daily living and need assistance to remain safely in their homes."
NOT for individuals who are eligible or on Medicaid.
Qualified persons may receive a hot meal delivered to their homes. Persons are eligible if they are 60 or older, have physical or mental limitations, or lack the ability to prepare a meal for themselves."
Suggested donation of $3.50 per meal but not required.
Senior Community Meal at the Alexandria Bay American Legion provides lunch for persons over 60 years of age in a friendly and group setting at a community site. Suggested contribution is $3.50 but not required.

"Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) is a federally-funded program from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and is administered by the New York State Office for the Aging. HIICAP provides you and your loved ones with information, education and counseling about Medicare and other health insurances. Trained staff and volunteers will answer your questions. The services provided by HIICAP are both free and unbiased. The answers to your questions are just a free phone call, or mouse click away."
